Anaheim Three Race Report
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 1, 2015) – For the third and final time in 2015, Angel Stadium was the site of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series. 43,441 fans were in attendance and the entire event was broadcast live on Fox Sports One. In addition, the second episode of Supercross Behind the Dream aired on Fox Sports One at 1:00 p.m. (EST) today. The third episode of the documentary series will be broadcast Feb. 15 at 10:30 a.m. (EST) on Fox Sports One.
Justin Barcia qualified for the main event directly from heat one, Phillip Nicoletti transferred from Semi One. Unfortunately Nicoletti suffered a brief crash at the start of the main event relegating him to last at the completion of the first lap. Barcia began the main in 10th position and was able to improve his standing to eighth at the finish, with Nicoletti salvaging 20th.
Round six of the 17-race series will be held at Petco Park in San Diego, Calif. on Feb. 7. Fox Sports One will air the race live starting at 10:00 p.m. (EST). Supercrosslive.com will stream qualifying practice beginning at 3:50 p.m. (EST).
