Kyle Peters will contest the 250SX East Supercross Championship in 2019 with the JGRMX/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing Team. Peters, who has scored podium finishes in Supercross before, filled in for the team at three Supercross rounds in 2017. He placed inside the top ten at every race aboard the Suzuki RM-Z250.
2018. "KP" raced the 250 East Supercross series and consistently finished inside the top ten. Disaster struck in Minneapolis when he crashed in the snow outside of the stadium and tore multiple ligaments in his knee. Not one to quit, Peters geared up and raced the Foxborough Supercross. He gained a legion of new fans by finishing third while basically racing with one leg. Peters underwent knee surgery following the Las Vegas Supercross finale and took the summer off to heal.
2017. Without much time or preparation on the bike, Peters answered the call by racing the opening three rounds of the Monster Energy AMA 250 East Supercross series. He finished 9-9-8 in those rounds. Kyle returned Down Under in order to contest the Australian 250 Nationals.
2016. On a Ride365 Honda ride, Peters continued to build and improve. His 2016 AMA 250 West Supercross campaign included eight top-10 finishes, which led to eighth overall in the highly competitive series. After racing two 250 Nationals, Kyle hopped on a privateer Husqvarna and raced two 450 Nationals. He then traveled to Australia to compete in the last few rounds of the Australian Nationals and the entirety of the Australian Supercross series.
2015. With backing from Motosport GPI Honda, Kyle finished inside the top 10 at three of the 250 East Supercross rounds. He capped that off with a 10th place in the combined East/West Shootout in Las Vegas. Peters was a regular top-15 racer in the 250 Nationals.
2014. Another year as a privateer, Peters hovered around the top ten in the 250 East Supercross series. Outdoors, Kyle raced nine 250 rounds and scored a season-high 14th at the High Point National.
2013. Riding aboard a privateer Peters Auto Mall Honda CRF250, Kyle turned heads in the 250 East Supercross series when he scored a second place finish (Indianapolis). A few rounds earlier he placed fourth against a field of factory-backed riders. Peters would go on to race the majority of the 250 Nationals, with his best finishes being 16th overall at High Point and RedBud.
2012. In his first full season, the Star Racing Yamaha rider battled through adversity while trying to make an impact. Peters broke his shoulder a mere two days before the first round of the 250 East Supercross series, but came back to gut out several top-15 finishes. Kyle was steadily improving during the AMA 250 Nationals until he hurt his other shoulder.
2011. Kicking off his professional racing career, Kyle Peters competed in the final two Nationals of the season. Aboard a Star Racing Yamaha, the North Carolina native scored professional points in his very first race.
