Spencer Bloomer is the Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing Research and Development Technician. As such, Spencer attempts to constantly improve the team's race settings, as well as develop components to improve handling and stability.
Bloomer began his love for two wheels in the early 1980s. He began racing off-road classes in the southern California area, where he quickly moved to the expert level of competition. Spencer was hired as a Support Technician for Kawasaki's Team Green program in 1994. In his role at Team Green, Spencer provided amateur support for nearly all of the major amateur national motocross and off-road events in the United Sates. Among other well-known professional racers, Bloomer built motorcycles for Ricky Carmichael during this time.
Kawasaki moved Spencer into the Research & Development Department. There he honed his fabricating and welding skills over the following six years. He was the lead technician in developing many of the production motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles now in production.
After 13 successful years at Kawasaki, the call came from his former associate, Jeremy Albrecht, who had accepted the team manager role at JGRMX. Spencer agreed to accept the invitation. Spencer has been pleasantly surprised by the wealth of resources, equipment, and knowledge he has found at Joe Gibbs Racing. His experience, combined with the backing of the Gibbs organization, has made Spencer feel the future is bright at JGRMX.
Spencer lives in Mooresville, North Carolina, with his wife Suzanne, son Dylan, mother-in-law Agnes, step-son Sean, and the family dogs Zoe and Mojo. firstname.lastname@example.org
