HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 11, 2013) – For the 43rd time, Unadilla Sports Valley in New Berlin, N.Y. held a round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. The first motos aired live on Fuel TV and the NBC Sports Network broadcast the second motos live. There was a two minute feature on Josh Grant and the Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX Team that ran midway through the FUEL TV broadcast that resulted in targeted exposure for the team sponsors.
Josh Grant and Justin Brayton began the first moto in seventh and eighth place respectively. Both riders were able to improve their standings to finish the race with Grant fifth and Brayton seventh. When the second moto began Brayton was collected in a first turn pile up, starting the race in 27th place while Grant was sixth. Brayton began systematically gaining positions while Grant moved into the top-five on lap two. Brayton was able to advance all the way to 13th with Grant fifth at the checkers. Brayton’s seven – 13 finishes gave him ninth overall, while Grant’s five – five scores credited him fifth for the day.
Although the ratings for Justin Brayton’s Gold Medal performance on Aug. 4 at X Games in Los Angeles have not been published as of this release, the 2013 X Games television package reached 184 countries and 430 million homes. The next round of the series will be the inaugural pro national at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah on Aug. 17. The NBC Sports Network will broadcast the first motos live at 3:00 p.m. (EST). The second motos will air live on FUEL TV at 5:00 p.m. (EST).
