Wienerschnitzel is the Official Hotdog of the Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX Team
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 17, 2014) – Wienerschnitzel, the iconic hotdog brand founded in 1961 by then 23 year-old John Galardi, Sr. is now the official hotdog of the Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX Team. The brand, which sells 120 million hot dogs a year and has 350 stores in 10 western states will also be the official chili, and corn dog of the team.
“We are expanding and want to extend our brand to a younger audience. Supercross and motocross with its young trend-setting fans is a perfect match for our strategic plans,” said JR Galardi, son of the late John Galardi.
“When we first began talking with JR everyone was telling me how great their food was, as most of the team had previously lived and worked on the West Coast,” said Coy Gibbs. “We have enjoyed getting to know JR and Dennis (Dennis Tase is the President) and look forward to a fun and rewarding relationship with the brand,” added Gibbs.
The Wienerschnitzel logos will debut on the team’s Yamaha YZ450Fs at the 2014 Monster Energy Cup this Saturday, Oct. 18 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. Fox Sports 2 will broadcast the event live starting at 9:00 p.m. (EST). Fox Sports 1 will re-air the event Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1:00 p.m. (EST).
